Our Leader

Owner and sole managing director, Clayton Cook, is the driving force behind TP human capital’s exciting achievements. His entrepreneurship and passion for innovation brought about the company’s ‘birth’ in July 2002 and his strong leadership and business initiative has ensured TP human capital’s continued success as an industry leader.

“TP human capital is simply an innovative solution to the region’s human resource requirements – a truly dynamic and long-term one-stop human resources services provider”. - Clayton Cook, Managing Director.

As a leader, Clayton’s ability to facilitate, encourage and recognise success in others has established a level of respect and admiration amongst his business team, friends and industry peers. This respect combined with his unique combination of hard-nosed business acumen, self-belief and genial attitude has firmly established Claytons’ reputation as one of the region’s most highly regarded private business owners.

Perhaps Clayton’s most admirable quality is his unwavering passion for his business. Despite his many years in the industry he remains refreshingly enthusiastic about ensuring the future of his people, community and business.

Our Team

Managing Director, Clayton Cook considers a strong engaged team crucial to the long-term success of a business and says they can ultimately be responsible for making or breaking a business.

“One of the great pleasures in business is having confidence in the team you have put in place to support you – our proud, loyal team members are largely responsible for the success of TP human capital”. - Clayton Cook, Managing Director.

One of TP human capital’s main human resource strategies is to practice what we preach – ensuring our own team members benefit from our extensive experience and industry expertise. Because all TP human capital’s service departments and support business functions are managed in-house we are able to offer our team members more opportunities for development and progression across the different areas of our business – human resources, training, recruitment, finance, information technology, workplace health & safety, quality assurance.

These opportunities combined with an innovative approach to rewards/incentives ensures our team members are more than just satisfied with their job – we have happy team members who are continually motivated to strive for excellence.

Our Business

The key to TP human capital’s success is our innovative business management structure - The TP human capital way -combining big business attributes with small business benefits.

In today’s hyper-competitive market small businesses are increasingly overwhelmed by large enterprises, with many customers mistakenly believing that small companies are unable to compete with standards and benefits offered by larger companies. For TP human capital the opposite is true.

TP human capital has been successful in securing key Preferred Supplier agreements with large governement and private sector organisations.

  • BHP Billiton (one of only 10 regional suppliers)
  • BHP Billiton Cannington
  • BHP Billiton Yabulu (QNI)
  • Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority
  • Ergon Energy
  • CSR Limited

Our unique approach to business management means our customers can enjoy all the benefits of dealing with a small business – personal attention, greater flexibility and easy access to our Managing Director, whilst being secure in the knowledge that our processes and service delivery are underpinned by a fully integrated Quality Management System (AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000) and established Workplace Policies and Procedures – attributes typically associated with big businesses.. Essentially the best of both worlds.

"This innovative approach to business is fundamental to TP human capital’s success and combined with the commitment and enthusiasm of our team members, has brought about the sustained growth we have enjoyed over the years." - Clayton Cook  [Managing Director/CEO]
