Clayton Cook

Ever the consummate conversationalist, Clayton’s ability to turn an off-the-cuff comment into an existential debate is a sight to behold. We’ve found it best to use one of two strategies. Either state your time constraints upfront and leg it as soon as you have your information. Or lean right into it and accept that when you resurface, your children will be grown-ups and Facebook will be dead.

Having literally grown up in the business, Clayton is TP Human Capital. His strong networks and relationships provide the foundations for TP Human Capital’s success. Clayton is extremely focused on supporting his community and understands what is needed for the region to truly grow and thrive.

THE CAFFEINE QUEEN

Sue

Rarely seen without a coffee cup in hand, Sue’s daily caffeine consumption is something we mere mortals can only aspire to. It also means she has the lowdown on all the best coffee places in town. So, if you’re looking for recommendations on the best beans, the smoothest long black or the creamiest cappuccino, just ask this Caffeine Queen!

Sue has been with us since 2007 and is responsible for the full gamut of our business finances. With her sharp wit, effortless style, and wicked sense of humour Sue brings a certain je ne sais quo to the world of finance and the TP Human Capital team.

THE HEAT SEEKER

Steve

Originally from Plymouth, Steve was surprised to discover Townsville’s winters are equivalent to a UK heatwave. Not used to sweating when doing basic tasks (such as slicing carrots), Steve is the strongest contributor to our in-house debates on appropriate office aircon temperatures. However, he does get the last laugh when he sees us reaching for our winter woollies as soon as the temperature drops below 26 degrees!

Steve has made his home in Townsville and brings over 16 years of recruitment experience in the North Queensland mining/resources industry to the TP Human Capital team. Passionate about helping the region grow, Steve applies a proactive approach to future-proofing your business.

THE ENGLISH ROSE

Grace

While our British Lady proudly extols the virtues of a strong cup of tea, she has also been seen indulging in a hot java on so many occasions we’re convinced she has secretly converted. Her refined accent provides endless opportunities for in-house impressions (with mixed results to say the least). But they do say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery…

Underpinned by a BA in psychology and psychometric accreditation, Grace brings many years of experience in recruitment, career guidance, and psychometric development to the TP Human Capital team. She looks after our white-collar and executive recruitment along with providing solution-focused HR guidance for our clients.

THE COUNTRY GAL

Bec

With a heart of gold and love of all things country, Bec won’t rest until she has helped us all get in touch with our inner Cowboy. She wears an Akubra on purpose and is currently petitioning for our next Christmas Party to involve rum and a rodeo. And to be honest, her positive vibes and country charm have us all but convinced.

With a background in Education, Bec uses her wealth of knowledge and experience in coordinating people, processes, and systems to orchestrate and streamline our Recruitment Team. Although most often in the background, Bec’s role is essential for ensuring the quality and efficiency of our contemporary recruitment services.

THE KIND-HEARTED CONSCIENCE

Hulu

If you’re looking for a challenge, we encourage you to engage Hulu in a debate about the merits of Union versus League. But be warned, such is her warm and friendly disposition, you won’t know you’ve lost until you’re at the bar paying for her beer.

Through her involvement in sporting and volunteer organisations, Hulu understands better than most what it takes to make a successful team. Specialising in blue-collar recruitment, Hulu uses her insights and experience to ensure she finds the right people for your team.

Michael

If you want to know what’s hip and happening, Michael is your man. Whether it be fitness, food, fashion or fun times, Michael is the zeitgeist personified. He can be consistently relied on to provide considered and constructive feedback on how to be the best you, you can be.

Michael has worked with a diverse range of individuals and teams across multiple industries and countries. He brings in-depth knowledge and experience with people-related challenges to our Learning and Development Team. With his pragmatic, solutions-focused approach, Michael helps take the pain out of planning your training and development needs.

THE PEOPLE PERSON

Tina

While many HR professionals these days seem to be anti-people, people people, Tina still genuinely enjoys exploring the good, the bad and the ugly of being human in today’s dynamic workplaces. When she’s not busy analysing people, Tina can be found running the trails of Castle Hill and dreaming of the day when the world opens up to travelling again!

Tina brings 15 years’ experience, qualifications, and research in Human Resource Development to the team. She specialises in establishing and exploring development foundations for individuals, teams, and leaders through scientifically validated psychometric profiling.

BOSS BABY

Quinn

We know better than anyone it’s inappropriate to say the boss is cute but woah, our boss is cute!!

Quinn is no doubt the one running our ship, from the moment she walks through our doors, she commands our attention. She rules with an iron fist and will give you the look of death if you turn off Bluey or try to stop her from eating the food she’s dropped on the floor.

She might be the laziest boss in history but when she decides to rock up she brightens the office every moment she is there.

THE RAY OF SUNSHINE

Lori

If you are ever having a bad day, Lori will be the one to brighten it up. She has a contagious energy that she brings to every interaction, and she really thrives on engaging with people from all walks of life. This also means she has a handbag full of delightful anecdotes to share so you’ll always walk away smiling.

Lori, our Canadian-born Aussie, has been with us for many years and still gets excited about helping people develop new skills. Lori delivers our scheduled and customised Microsoft Application training packages as well as professional development courses including Managing Workplace Priorities and Mastering Meeting Minutes.

THE CREATIVE ROCKSTAR

Brian

They say Jimi Hendrix is the world’s greatest guitarist, well Brian is our homegrown version! He can often be found doing a quick jam in his breaks and if you’re lucky enough you'll get to experience his talent as part of your training program.

Brian has a remarkable ability to relate to people at all levels of the workplace which he translates into unique training experiences. He has a background in corporate training, communication styles, and performing arts. He specialises in the neuroscience underpinning human interactions and applies this knowledge to his teachings in leadership, team building, difficult conversations, and communication strategies.

PUMPKIN
Don’t let his size fool you, he is the BIGGEST sook you’ll ever meet. He will sit by your side for hours on end making sad puppy eyes to bribe treats and snuggles from you.

LEXI
The mother hen of the group, she’s a nurturing old soul, but even she needs a little time out so you can often find her hiding on the couch trying to find a little peace and quiet..

MILO
This tiny terrier is in the office every day and if you cannot find him, head to the kitchen. He’ll be there ready to catch any and all bits of stray bits of food.
