Contracts Advisor

TP Human Capital are currently recruiting for an experienced CONTRACTS ADVISOR for an immediate start with a leading organisation. As a CONTRACTS ADVISOR your roles and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: 

• managing end-to-end contracting processes from tender development, submission, evaluation;
• Awarding through to monitoring performance against key performance indicators and contract conditions.
• Reporting, and delivering corrective actions when necessary to ensure consistent customer service is received.
• Effective oversight of contracts will facilitate the implementation of cost savings within the supply chain and timely and successful execution of cost improvements within agreed parameters.
• Maintain awareness of current and upcoming business activities.
• and work closely with internal customers to assist with planning and scoping requirements, source appropriate and competitive options and ensure compliance related to contract regulations, legislation and site procedures.
• Ideally, experienced within metalliferous refining, mining or heavy industry.

 
This role is suited to:

• A self-motivated person with an excellent knowledge of procurement techniques, contract formulation and administration, and negotiation strategies. 
• Min 5 years’ experience in contract management and/or qualifications related to procurement/contracts.
• This will be supplemented by a sound knowledge of contract law, proficiency in the Microsoft suite and ideally, experience with JD Edwards or similar CMS. 
• Someone who is confident and capable to interpret contractual terms and conditions and provide advice related to contractual risk or improvements.
• Experience in commercial and contractual negotiations coupled with well developed analytical and problem solving skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads.
